J51 Documentation

J51 is one emulator with integrated debugger and disassembler for the Intel MCS51 processor family.

User interface

Field

Any field in the main screen when the emulator is stopped can be changed. To make the change effective then ENTER key must be pressed, if you don't press the ENTER but another shortcut key any changed will be lost.

Hex field

All hex field in J51 have same 'magic function' the cursor movement key (UP,DOWN,PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN) increment/decrement the field and automatically commit the change this is very useful for example in the assembly window where it is possible to navigate in the memory pressing only PAGE UP and DOWN key.
